Eckersberg is a district of the city of Frohburg in the south of the Leipzig district in Saxony .

geography

The place with its four houses lies in the valley of the Ossabach between Theusdorf in the northeast, Roda in the north and Kohren-Sahlis in the southwest. He is surrounded by fields. In the southwest of the village there is a small piece of forest. The more distant Lochmühle in the direction of Kohren-Sahlis also belongs to the village.

history

Eckersberg was referred to as "villa" in 1208 under the name "Eggehardesberc". In 1377 the place was already considered a desert . In 1452 it was destroyed by the Hussites and has belonged to Theusdorf ever since. Eckersberg was only mentioned as a Vorwerk around 1694, the jurisdiction of which belonged to the Sahlis and Syhra manors . The deserted area had shares in the Terpitz, Theusdorf and Syhra corridors. Eckersberg was until 1856 in the Electoral Saxon or Royal Saxon Office Borna . From 1856 the place belonged to the Geithain court office and from 1875 to the Borna district administration .

Around 1875 the Eckersberg group of houses belonged as a district to Theusdorf in the north-west. On March 31, 1935, Theusdorf and its district Eckersberg were incorporated into Syhra. In 1948 Eckersberg was reclassified to Kohren-Sahlis. Since January 1st, 2018 the place belongs to the city of Frohburg.
