Terpitz is a district of the city of Frohburg in the south of the Leipzig district in Saxony .

Terpitz lies between Kohren-Sahlis in the southwest, Walditz in the southeast and Eckersberg in the north.

Townscape

Terpitz's houses are relatively close together. Once the village image has been broken through, it is through green spaces with trees. In the Kirschgarten, a settlement in the direction of Kohren-Sahlis, there are much larger houses that have only been built since the 1990s.

history

In 1429 the mill from Terpitz was mentioned for the first time. The place was until 1856 in the Electoral Saxon or Royal Saxon Office Borna . The jurisdiction over Terpitz lay with the Sahlis manor . From 1856 the place belonged to the Frohburg court office and from 1875 to the Borna district administration .

On October 1, 1948, it was incorporated into Kohren-Sahlis. In 2006 an internet meeting point opened in town.

Since January 1st, 2018 the place belongs to the city of Frohburg.

Culture and tourism

The old-timer club of the city of Kohren-Sahlis has its club domicile in Terpitz. Well known for the village is the Elisenhof, which offers a restaurant and a small hotel.
