history

Neuhof is a settlement that probably began in the 12th century . The place was probably an independent manor that belonged to the manor Rüdigsdorf until 1696. The village was owned from 1699 to 1708 by Hans Christoph von Pflugk , the founder of the neighboring village of Pflug. With this, Neuhof formed from 1834 a rural community with the name Neuhof (called Pflug from 1875). Neuhof was in the Electoral Saxon or Royal Saxon Office Borna until 1856 . From 1856 the place belonged to the Frohburg court office and from 1875 to the Borna district administration .

On June 1, 1895, Neuhof was merged with Pflug and Rüdigsdorf to form the municipality of Rüdigsdorf-Neuhof. This (name Rüdigsdorf ) was incorporated into Kohren-Sahlis on July 1, 1950 . Since January 1st, 2018 the place belongs to the city of Frohburg.

Population development

The number of inhabitants in Neuhof has always remained relatively constant:

  • 1834: 71 inhabitants
  • 2000: 73 inhabitants

economy

traffic

Neuhof itself has good road conditions. The streets are narrow and there is a 30 zone throughout the village. There is a connection to local public transport just a few meters outside the closed town, where there is a bus stop at the “Rübe zu” youth club.

The village is connected to its neighboring villages in three different ways. A road (completed in 2005) leads to Linda. The village is connected by a plow over a stony dirt road. An asphalt road and a grass field path lead to Rüdigsdorf.

Culture

Neuhof is known for its youth club "Rübe zu", which is very popular. During the summer holidays, the three-day party organized by the youth club always takes place on the last weekend in July, from Friday to Sunday.
