The constituency Mittelachsen 5 (constituency 22) is a state electoral district in Saxony .
It includes the cities of Burgstädt , Geringswalde , Lunzenau , Penig and Rochlitz as well as the communities Claußnitz , Hartmannsdorf , Königsfeld , Königshain-Wiederau , Mühlau , Seelitz , Taura , Wechselburg and Zettlitz in the district of Central Saxony . In the last state election (in 2019), 45,135 residents were eligible to vote.
For the 1994 to 2009 elections, the constituency was named " Mittweida 2" and had constituency number 22. For the 2014 state election, the name was adapted to the districts that were changed in the 2008 district reform . The constituency kept its number.

Elective area overview
The electoral area has remained almost unchanged since 1994. Only the municipality of Wittgensdorf, which was incorporated into Chemnitz in 1999, and the area of the municipality of Erlau, which has belonged to the constituency of Central Saxony 3 since 2014, changed constituencies.
