Skeptics Society

The Skeptics Society is an American organization of the skeptics movement , the self-declared goal of which is to promote scientific thinking. This was founded in 1992 by Michael Shermer and in 2008 had over 55,000 members worldwide. The association, based in Altadena , deals with phenomena that are regarded as pseudosciences , such as creationism , PSI , clairvoyance and Holocaust denial .
