The Skerjafjörður is a bay in the capital area of Iceland .
The Skerjafjörður (German archipelago fjord ) is located south of the Seltjarnarnes peninsula and the capital Reykjavík and north of the Álftanes peninsula and the city of Hafnarfjörður . Reykjavík Airport is located on this fjord and the bays Fossvogur, Kópavogur near the city of the same name and Arnarnesvogur branch off . In Skerjafjörður is also the peninsula Bessastaðanes with the official residence of the president in Bessastaðir .
