Sky (also at the address 605 West 42nd Street and called The Studio II known) is a skyscraper in New York City , the beginning of 2008, the first time the public was presented. The building is designed as a pure residential tower.

Construction of 605 West 42nd Street began in April 2008. The tower was originally intended to have a height of 188 meters with a total of 57 floors. Due to the financial crisis , however, construction was stopped a little later.

At the end of March 2013 it was announced that there were new activities on the project. The foundation work has been in full swing again since spring 2013. At the same time, DOB (Department of Buildings - NYC) documents were submitted indicating a height of exactly 200 meters. Since the DOB only gives the height up to the last occupied floor (i.e. no masts / antennas / roof ridges etc.), one can assume that the tower will be over 200 meters high. At the beginning of January 2015 it was announced that the final height was 206 meters. A total of 1174 residential units are to be built, spread over 61 floors.

The building reached its final height on December 5, 2014. The building officially opened its doors at the beginning of 2016.
