Slađan Ašanin (born August 13, 1971 in Zagreb , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a former Croatian football player .

In the Croatian league, the defender played for Inter Zaprešić from 1993 to 1996 , before moving to Slavia Prague for two years in 1996 . In 1998 he was signed by Borussia Mönchengladbach . For Borussia he played 97 Bundesliga games, in which he scored 6 goals, and 53 second division games, in which he scored eight times. In 2004 Ašanin went to the then second division club LR Ahlen , for whom he scored two goals in 20 games. From 2007 he let his career end with NK Samobor.
