Sleepy Man
Sleepy Man (until the end of 2014 Sleepy Man Banjo Boys ) is a bluegrass trio from New Jersey that consists of the three brothers Tommy (born July 14, 1997, guitar and backing vocals), Robbie (born November 7, 1998, violin and vocals) and Jonny (born March 14, 2002 , Banjo) Mizzone.
Among other things, they appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman and several bluegrass festivals. A video on YouTube of Jonny Mizzone practicing with his brothers Earl Scruggs' Flint Hill Special has been viewed over seven million times. On August 20, 2011, Sleepy Man Banjo Boys first appeared on the radio show Grand Ole Opry . The trio released their first CD, America's Music , in October 2011 and the second CD, The Farthest Horizon , was released in October 2012. Two songs on this album feature Ashley Lilly, the 13-year-old granddaughter of bluegrass musician Everett Lilly. In February 2014 they released the single Run , on which Robbie sings for the first time. Her third album with an instrumental piece and five songs in which Robbie sings was released in June 2014.
