Slim The Mobster (born June 10, 1979 in Los Angeles , California , real name Anthony Johnson) is an American rapper who is under contract with Aftermath Entertainment .

Slim grew up in South Central and Corpus Christi , Texas . In February 2008 he could be heard on a mixtape by Hussein Fatal . From 2008 he got a contract with Aftermath Entertainment. In 2011 his street album "War Music" was released by Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg and Sha Money XL was produced. His first video for the album "Gun Play" was released in 2011. Slim claimed that he was stabbed, shot, robbed and kidnapped. He was also a member of the Crips while on the street. His uncle is the famous former drug lord Freeway Ricky Ross.
