Puente Villa is a town in the La Paz department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
Location in the vicinity
Puente Villa is a settlement in the canton of Villa Aspiazu in the district ( Bolivian : Municipio ) Yanacachi in the Sud Yungas province . The village is located at an altitude of 1218 m on the bridge over the Río Unduavi , which joins the Río Taquesi to the Río Tamampaya . Puente Villa is the direct neighbor of the village of Villa Aspiazu , the central place of the canton.

Puente Villa is located in the Bolivian Yungas on the eastern slope of the high mountain ridge of the Cordillera Real . The climate is a typical time of day climate in which the mean fluctuation in daytime temperatures is more pronounced than the seasonal fluctuations.
The annual average temperature of the region is 21 ° C (see climate diagram Chulumani), the average monthly values fluctuate only slightly between 18 ° C in July and 22 ° C in December. The annual precipitation is about 1150 mm, the monthly precipitation is between about 20 mm in the months of June and July and more than 150 mm from December to February.

Puente Villa is 104 kilometers by road east of La Paz , the capital of the department of the same name.
From La Paz, the paved road Ruta 3 leads sixty kilometers northeast to Unduavi , from there the unpaved Ruta 25 branches off in a southeastern direction along the Río Unduavi and after 44 kilometers reaches Puente Villa . From there it continues via Chulumani , Inquisivi and Independencia (Ayopaya) and after a total of 481 kilometers at Vinto it meets Ruta 4 , which reaches Cochabamba for a further 15 kilometers .
In addition, Puente Villa is the starting point of the 54 kilometer long Ruta 40 , which leads to Coroico .

The region has a high proportion of indigenous Aymara population, in the municipality of Yanacachi 54.8 percent of the population speak the Aymara language .
