Villa Aspiazu is a town in the La Paz department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
Location in the vicinity
Villa Aspiazu is the central place of the canton Villa Aspiazu in the district ( Bolivian : Municipio ) Yanacachi in the province Sud Yungas . The village is located on a mountain spur at an altitude of 1868 m one kilometer south of the Río Tamampaya , shortly before the union with the Río Unduavi . Villa Aspiazu is a direct neighbor of the village of Puente Villa .

Villa Aspiazu is located in the Bolivian Yungas on the eastern slope of the high mountain ridge of the Cordillera Real . The climate is a typical time of day climate in which the mean fluctuation in daytime temperatures is more pronounced than the seasonal fluctuations.
The mean average temperature of the region is 21 ° C (see climate diagram Chulumani), the mean monthly values fluctuate only slightly between 18 ° C in July and 22 ° C in December. The annual precipitation is about 1150 mm, the monthly precipitation is between about 20 mm in the months of June and July and more than 150 mm from December to February.

Villa Aspiazu is 106 kilometers east of La Paz , the capital of the department of the same name.
From La Paz the paved road Ruta 3 leads sixty kilometers northeast to Unduavi , from there the unpaved Ruta 25 branches off in a southeastern direction along the Río Unduavi and after 46 kilometers reaches Villa Aspiazu . From there it continues via Chulumani , Inquisivi and Independencia (Ayopaya) and after a total of 481 kilometers at Vinto it meets Ruta 4 , which reaches Cochabamba for a further 15 kilometers .

The region has a high proportion of indigenous Aymara population, in the municipality of Yanacachi 54.8 percent of the population speak the Aymara language .
