Sud Yungas ("South Yungas") is one of twenty provinces of the La Paz department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia and is located in the eastern part of the department.

location

The province lies on the eastern slopes of the Bolivian Cordillera Real and borders in the east with the departments of Cochabamba and the department Beni , in the north with the province Franz Tamayo , in the west with the province Larecaja , the province Caranavi and the province Nor Yungas , in the southwest the province of Murillo , to the south to the province of Loayza , and to the southeast to the province of Inquisivi .

The province extends between about 14 ° 54 'and 16 ° 42' south latitude and 66 ° 48 'and 67 ° 58' west longitude, it measures 200 kilometers from north to south and 75 kilometers from west to east.

77.1 percent of the population are Catholic , 15.4 percent are Protestant (1992) .
