Aroma is one of twenty provinces in the southern part of the La Paz department in the highlands of the South American Andean state of Bolivia .

Location in the vicinity

The province is located on the Bolivian Altiplano southeast of Lake Titicaca and borders in the northwest with the province of Ingavi , in the west with the province Pacajes , in the south with the province Gualberto Villarroel , in the southeast with the department Oruro , in the east with the province Loayza , and to the north to the province of Murillo .

The province extends between about 16 ° 43 'and 17 ° 35' south latitude and 67 ° 22 'and 68 ° 23' west longitude, its length from northwest to southeast is 120 kilometers, its latitude from northeast to southwest up to 55 kilometers .
