Loayza is one of twenty provinces of the La Paz department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia and is located in the southeastern part of the department. It bears its name in honor of the general and Bolivian Vice President José Ramón Loayza .
location
The province is located southeast of Lake Titicaca and includes the region between the Cordillera of the Serranía de Sicasica in the west and the Cordillera Quimsa Cruz in the east. It borders in the north on the province of Sud Yungas and the province of Murillo , in the west on the province of Aroma , in the south on the Oruro department , and in the east on the province of Inquisivi .
The province extends between about 16 ° 35 'and 17 ° 27' south latitude and 67 ° 16 'and 68 ° 00' west longitude, it measures from north to south up to 90 kilometers, from west to east up to 65 kilometers.
