Cairoma is a town in the La Paz department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .

Location in the vicinity

Cairoma is the central place of the district ( Bolivian : Municipio ) Cairoma in the province of Loayza . The town of Cairoma is located at an altitude of 3888  m on a right tributary of the Río Luribay in one of the valleys between Serranía de Sicasica and the Cordillera Quimsa Cruz .

Cairoma lies between the Bolivian Altiplano in the west and the Amazon lowlands in the east. The region has a typical time of day climate, i. This means that the mean temperature differences between day and night are greater than the temperature differences between the seasons.
