Caranavi is one of twenty provinces in the eastern part of the Bolivian department of La Paz .
location
The province is located on the Bolivian Altiplano east of Lake Titicaca on the upper reaches of the Río Beni and borders in the northwest with the province Larecaja , in the southwest with the province Murillo , in the south with the province Nor Yungas , and in the east and northeast with the province Sud Yungas .
The province extends between approximately 15 ° 20 'and 16 ° 03' south latitude and 67 ° 07 'and 67 ° 42' west longitude, it measures 75 kilometers from north to south and 55 kilometers from west to east.
