San Pedro de Caranavi is a town in the La Paz department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
Location in the vicinity
San Pedro is a village in the canton of Choro in the district ( Bolivian : Municipio ) Caranavi in the province of Caranavi . The municipality is located at an altitude of 776 m on the Río Coroico , which flows downstream into the Río Kaka , a tributary of the Río Beni .

San Pedro is located on the eastern edge of the Cordillera Real in the Bolivian Yungas , a transition region between the Andean highlands ( altiplano ) and the tropical lowlands of the Amazon - rainforest .
