Pacajes is one of twenty provinces in the southwestern part of the La Paz department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .

location

The province is located in the Bolivian Altiplano and borders in the north and northwest on the province of Ingavi , in the west on the province of José Manuel Pando , in the southwest on the Republic of Chile , in the southeast on the Oruro department , in the east on the province of Gualberto Villarroel , and in Northeast to the Aroma Province .

The province extends between about 16 ° 45 'and 18 ° 03' south latitude and 68 ° 05 'and 69 ° 30' west longitude, its latitude from northwest to southeast is 85 kilometers, its length from northeast to southwest is 150 kilometers.
