The Municipio Nazacara de Pacajes is a district in the La Paz department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
Location in the vicinity
The Municipio Nazacara de Pacajes is one of eight Municipios of the Province of Pacajes and is located in the northwestern part of the province. It borders the province of Ingavi to the west, and the municipality of Caquiaviri to the south, east and north .
The municipality includes only two localities ( localidades ), the central place of the municipality is Nazacara with 382 inhabitants in the northeastern part of the municipality. ( 2012 )
geography
The Municipio Nazacara de Pacajes is located at an average altitude of 3800 m south of Lake Titicaca on the Bolivian Altiplano between the Andes mountain ranges of the Cordillera Occidental in the west and the Cordillera Central in the east.
The mean annual temperature of the region is 7 ° C, the annual precipitation is 500 to 600 mm (see Comanche climate diagram). The region has a distinctive daytime climate, the monthly average temperatures fluctuate only insignificantly between 4 ° C in June / July and almost 9 ° C in December.
