The Municipio Malla is a district in the Department of La Paz .
Location in the vicinity
The municipality Malla is one of five municipalities in the province of Loayza and is located in the eastern part of the province. It borders the Municipio Cairoma to the northwest , the Municipio Luribay to the west, the Municipio Yaco to the south , and the Inquisivi Province to the east .
The municipality has 29 localities ( localidades ), the central place of the municipality is Malla with 1,438 inhabitants in the central part of the municipality. ( 2012 census )
geography
The Municipio Malla is located at an average altitude of 4000 m in the Serranía de Sicasica cordillera , between the Bolivian Altiplano in the west and the Amazon lowlands in the east.
The mean average temperature of the region is 9 ° C, the annual precipitation is 500 to 600 mm (see climate diagram Viloco), with a pronounced dry season from May to August with monthly values of less than 15 mm.
