Patacamaya is a small town in the La Paz department in the highlands of the South American Andean state Bolivia .
Location in the vicinity
Patacamaya is the central place of the Municipio Patacamaya in the province of Aroma and is located at an altitude of 3801 m . Patacamaya is located on the left bank of the Río Kheto , a tributary to the Río Desaguadero , which it reaches at the village of Eucaliptus .

Patacamaya is located on the Bolivian plateau between the Andes mountain ranges of the Cordillera Occidental in the west and the Cordillera Central in the east.
