Viscachani is a town in the La Paz department in the highlands of the South American Andean state of Bolivia .

Location in the vicinity

Viscachani is the central place of the canton Viscachani in the district ( Bolivian : Municipio ) Patacamaya in the province of Aroma and is located at an altitude of 3842  m . The center of the village is one kilometer west of the main road on the banks of the Río Kheto , a tributary to the Río Desaguadero , which it reaches at the village of Eucaliptus .

Viscachani is located on the Bolivian plateau between the Andes mountain ranges of the Cordillera Occidental in the west and the Cordillera Central in the east.
