The Ruta 2 is a national road in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
Routing
Ruta 2 is 155 kilometers long and crosses the northern part of the Bolivian Altiplano from west to east, from the Peruvian border on the southwestern edge of Lake Titicaca to the government metropolis of La Paz . The entire length of the road lies in the department of La Paz . It begins in the northwest at the border town of Khasani , after 48 kilometers crosses the Strait of Tiquina , which connects the northern and southern parts of Lake Titicaca, and ends in the southeast in La Paz.
The entire length of Ruta 2 is asphalted, and from La Paz to Huarina there is even a double lane.
history
The road has been declared part of the Bolivian national road network " Red Vial Fundamental " by decree 25.134 of August 31, 1998 .
