The Ruta 19 is a state highway in the South American Andean country Bolivia .
Routing
The road has a length of 211 kilometers and crosses the western part of the La Paz department in an east-west direction. The road begins in the center of the department at El Alto , the neighboring city of La Paz , crosses the sparsely populated Altiplano in a south-westerly direction and ends at the Chilean border in the west at Charaña .
The first 60 kilometers of the national road are asphalted, the remaining 150 kilometers consist of gravel and dirt roads.

Ruta 19 has been declared part of the Bolivian national road network " Red Vial Fundamental " by law 2198 of May 15, 2001 .
