The Ruta 26 is a national road in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .

Routing

The road has a length of 332 kilometers and leads along the Bolivian Voranden in the northeastern part of the La Paz department .

The Ruta 26 runs from southeast to northwest, it begins in the Bolivian Yungas on the eastern slope of the Cordillera Real in the city of Caranavi . From here it leads in a north-westerly direction over the villages of Guanay and Mapiri and ends in the city of Apolo on Route 16 , which is planned to come from Lake Titicaca along the Peruvian border all the way to the north-west of the country.

The Ruta 26 is not paved, it consists of gravel and dirt road along its entire length.

history

With Ley 2818 of August 27, 2004, the road was declared part of the Bolivian national road network Red Vial Fundamental .
