The Ruta 36 is a national road in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .

Routing

The road has a length of 224 kilometers and runs in the southern part of the country in the lowlands in front of the Bolivian Voranden chains.

The Ruta 36 runs from north to south in the southern part of the Santa Cruz department . The road begins at the town of Abapó as a junction of Ruta 9 and runs largely in a southerly direction east of the Voranden chain of Serranía Charagua via the villages of San Isidro del Espino and Charagua to the town of Boyuibe on Ruta 9 and Ruta 6 , which continue in the lowlands lead to the south or west.

The Ruta 36 is asphalted for the first forty kilometers to Espino, then the rest of the route is unpaved gravel and dirt road.

The road was declared with Ley 3216 of September 30, 2005 as part of the Bolivian national road network Red Vial Fundamental .
