Boyuibe is a country town in the Santa Cruz Department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
Location in the vicinity
Boyuibe is the central place of the district ( Bolivian : Municipio ) Boyuibe in the province of Cordillera . The city is located at an altitude of 811 m on the eastern edge of the Sierra Boyuibe , northern foothills of the foothills of the Serranía Aguaragüe , which rises here eight kilometers west of the city to heights of more than 1400 m.

Boyuibe is located in the tropical climate of the South American Gran Chaco , the six-month wet season extends from November to April and the dry season from May to October (see Camiri climate diagram).
The annual average temperature is 23 ° C, with 17 to 18 ° C from June to July and over 26 ° C from November to December. The annual precipitation is almost 900 mm, the wettest months are December and January with 175 mm and the driest months July and August with almost 10 mm.
Transport network
Boyuibe is 349 kilometers by road south of Santa Cruz , the capital of the department.
The paved road Ruta 9 leads from Santa Cruz via Abapó and Ipitá to Boyuibe and another 187 kilometers to Yacuiba on the Bolivian southern border with Argentina . From Boyuibe , Ruta 36 also runs in a north-easterly direction via Charagua to Abapó.
The railway line from Santa Cruz to Yacuiba, which has a stop in Boyuibe, runs through Boyuibe. From here there are passenger train connections to the north and south, which take passengers to Santa Cruz in about eleven and a half hours and to Yacuiba in five hours.

Due to the historical population distribution, the region has a certain proportion of Guaraní population, in the Municipio Boyuibe 22.8 percent of the population speak the Guaraní language .
