The Municipio Boyuibe is a district in the Santa Cruz Department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
Location in the vicinity
The Municipio Boyuibe is one of seven Municipios of the Cordillera Province and includes its southwestern area. It is bordered by the Chuquisaca Department to the south, the Charagua Municipality to the east and north , and the Cuevo Municipality to the west .
The municipality extends between about 20 ° 04 'and 20 ° 29' south latitude and 62 ° 34 'and 63 ° 31' west longitude, its expansion from west to east is up to 100 kilometers, and from north to south up to 40 Kilometre.
The municipality comprises thirteen municipalities ( localidades ), the central place of the municipality is the rural town of Boyuibe with 3,401 inhabitants ( 2012 census ) on the southwestern edge of the district.

The Municipio Boyuibe lies on the western edge of the Bolivian lowlands in front of the foothills of the southeastern Cordillera Central . The climate is subtropical and semi-humid , the temperatures fluctuate only to a limited extent during the day and during the year.
The annual average temperature is 23 ° C, with monthly average temperatures between 17 and 18 ° C from June to July and over 26 ° C from November to December (see Camiri climate diagram). The annual precipitation is almost 900 mm, the dry season from May to October contrasts with a pronounced wet season from November to April, in which the average monthly values reach 175 mm.

The life expectancy of the newborns was 67.9 years, the infant mortality had fallen from 7.6 percent (1992) to 4.7 percent in 2001.
98.7 percent of the population speak Spanish , 22.8 percent speak Guarani , 6.1 percent speak Quechua , and 0.9 percent speak Aymara . (2001)
