The Ruta 18 is a national road in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .

Routing

The road is only 76 kilometers long and crosses the northwestern part of the Pando Department in an east-west direction. The road begins in the northeast, two kilometers west of the village of Villa Rosario, as a junction from the Ruta 13 highway between the towns of Cobija and Porvenir . It opens up the almost unpopulated region between the Ruta 13 in the east and the Peruvian border in the west, the Brazilian border in the north and the Río Tahuamanu in the south. The Ruta 18 ends at the village of extremes , the most Río Tahuamanu is located on the Bolivian-Peruvian border.

The entire stretch of the national road is not asphalted, it consists of gravel and dirt roads and is repeatedly impassable in parts during times of high rainfall.

Ruta 18 was declared part of the Bolivian national road network " Red Vial Fundamental " by decree 25.934 of October 10, 2000 .
