Dirk Caspers (born May 31, 1980 in Neuss ) is a German football player . His preferred position is left back.

Career

Caspers began his career at Fortuna Düsseldorf , Borussia Mönchengladbach and Alemannia Aachen , for whose second teams he played. In the 2002/03 season he rose with the Aachen reserve from the Oberliga Nordrhein . In the second half of the same season, Caspers also made ten appearances in the professional squad in the 2nd Bundesliga . He then moved to FC Schalke 04 , with whose second team he played in the Regionalliga Nord and the Oberliga Westfalen .

In the summer of 2005 he moved to SG Wattenscheid 09 , with which, however, relegated from the regional league. For the new season he joined the relegated Preußen Münster , which he left after only one season. In the 2007/08 season he played for Bonner SC and Schwarz-Weiß Essen . He then moved to Rot-Weiss Essen , where he stayed for two years, but mostly played for the reserve team in the NRW League .

In the summer of 2010, Dirk Caspers moved to SC Fortuna Köln , with whom he was promoted to the Regionalliga West in the 2010/11 season . After two years there, he left the club and signed a contract with SC Kapellen-Erft in November 2012 , for which he played another year in the league. In the spring of 2015, he joined the second team of the regional division 1. FC Grevenbroich-Süd and has been a regular player since then (as of March 30, 2018). He also made five league appearances for the first combat team of 1. FC Grevenbroich-Süd in the 2015/16 season .
