Hans von Waldenfels
Hans von Waldenfels († 1470) triggered the Waldenfels feud and later became the Brandenburg captain in Hof .
Hans von Waldenfels came from the von Waldenfels family on Wartenfels . His father was Caspar von Waldenfels , who moved the family seat to Lichtenberg Castle . According to the genealogist Johann Gottfried Biedermann , his mother was Margaretha von Schaumberg and his wife Margaretha von Heldritt .
In the Waldenfels feud , Hans von Waldenfels, together with his brother Fritz , plundered merchant trains in the imperial cities of Nuremberg , Windsheim and Rothenburg . When Nuremberg soldiers besieged Lichtenberg Castle unsuccessfully, he defended the castle together with aristocrats from the area and the townspeople. When he was taken prisoner in Bamberg, he and his brother were forced to become the fiefdom of Margrave Johann . He was appointed captain in Hof .
