Fritz von Waldenfels

Fritz von Waldenfels († 1450) triggered the Waldenfels feud and was later the Brandenburg bailiff of Hohenberg .

Fritz von Waldenfels came from the von Waldenfels family on Wartenfels . His father was Caspar von Waldenfels , who moved the family seat to Lichtenberg Castle . According to the genealogist Johann Gottfried Biedermann , his mother was Margaretha von Schaumberg .

In the Waldenfels feud , Fritz von Waldenfels, together with his brother Hans , plundered merchant trains in the imperial cities of Nuremberg , Windsheim and Rothenburg . When the Nuremberg soldiers besieged Lichtenberg Castle, he hurried to Bohemia and gathered relief troops in Eger in anticipation of which the besiegers hurriedly withdrew. When he was taken prisoner in Bamberg, he and his brother were forced to become the fiefdom of Margrave Johann . He was appointed bailiff at Hohenberg Castle.
