Collana is a country town in the La Paz department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .

Location in the vicinity

Collana is the central place of the district ( Bolivian : Municipio ) Collana in the province of Aroma and is located at an altitude of 3964  m . To the east of Collana, the wide plain of the Bolivian highlands extends to the Serranía de Sicasica , directly to the west of the town is a north-south oriented mountain range that rises to 4,500 m.

Collana is located on the Bolivian Altiplano between the Andes mountain ranges of the Cordillera Occidental in the west and the Cordillera Central in the east.
