Covendo is a town in the La Paz department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
Location in the vicinity
Covendo is a town in the municipality of Palos Blancos in the Sud Yungas province and is located on the right bank of the Río Beni at the mouth of the Río Covendo .
geography
Covendo located in the Bolivian Yungas at an altitude of 516 m east of the Andes -Gebirgskette the Cordillera Real , between the Cordillera de Cocapata and Voranden chain Sierra de Marimonos .

From La Paz the national road Ruta 3 leads via Coroico and Caranavi in a north-easterly direction to the bridge over the Río Beni, from there 15 kilometers further upstream to Palos Blancos and a further 42 kilometers upstream past San Miguel de Huachi and Tucupi to Covendo .
