Tucupi is a town in the La Paz department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
Location in the vicinity
Tucupi is a town in the municipality of Palos Blancos in the Sud Yungas province and is located on the right bank of the Río Beni at the mouth of the Río Tucupi .
geography
Tucupi located in the Bolivian Yungas at an altitude of 516 m east of the Andes -Gebirgskette the Cordillera Real , between the Cordillera de Cocapata and Voranden chain Sierra de Marimonos .

From La Paz the national road Ruta 3 leads via Coroico and Caranavi in a north-easterly direction to the bridge over the Río Beni, from there 15 kilometers further upstream to Palos Blancos and another 30 kilometers upstream past San Miguel de Huachi to Tucupi and on to Covendo .
