Sloan Park is a baseball - Stadium in Mesa in the state of Arizona . Construction of the stadium began in 2012 and it opened in 2014.

The main operators are the Chicago Cubs . The baseball field serves as their spring training facility and is also home to the Arizona League's Arizona League Cubs and the Arizona Fall League's Mesa Solar Sox . Sloan Park was built and paid for by residents of the City of Mesa, approved through an election test. It was built primarily for spring training for the Chicago Cubs, who had previously played at the nearby Hohokam Stadium. The playing area largely corresponds to the masses of the regular home stadium of the Cubs, Wrigley Field .

With a capacity of 15,000, Sloan Park is the largest spring training ground for Major League Baseball, outperforming Camelback Ranch in Glendale , the Chicago White Sox's spring training facility , by 2,000.

Initially the baseball field was called Cubes Park. On January 8, 2015, it was announced that the Sloan Valve Company had signed a contract to grant the name rights to the baseball field. As a result, the park was renamed Sloan Park.
