The Arizona Fall League is an off-season league owned and operated by Major League Baseball that takes place this fall in Arizona , United States. The Arizona Fall League attracts many of the top talent in the minor leagues .
structure
Every August, the Major League Baseball clubs select which players will go to Arizona. Most of them are Double-A and Triple-A minor league players. Each club can choose to send two players under the Double-A league. Foreign players are allowed as long as the player is not on the list of primarily protected players in his home country. The league is designed to hone the skills and showcase one's own skills. In addition, the players play in front of managers and baseball scouts from the big and small leagues, who are present at almost every game. The games begin shortly after the end of the MLB regular season in early October and end in mid-November with a championship game between the winners of the East and West divisions.
The Arizona Fall League teams are each associated with five separate major league teams. Each affiliated Major League team provides seven players who join forces to fill the 35-man roster of each team. In addition, the teams can choose whether they want to send practice squad players. MLB teams also provide managers, coaches and trainers.
