Aaron James Judge (born April 26, 1992 in Linden , California ) is an American baseball player in the position of outfielders . He was selected by the New York Yankees in the first round of the MLB draft in 2013 and has played for the franchise ever since.

Life

Aaron Judge was born on 26 April 1992 and by Patty and Wayne Judge adopted , pursued both a teaching job. At the age of 10, his adoptive parents told him that he was an adoptive child. Judge grew up with his older adoptive brother, John.

Professional career

Minor Leagues

The New York Yankees selected Judge as the 32nd player in the 2013 MLB Draft . He made his professional debut with the Charleston RiverDogs, a South Atlantic League Class A team, in 2014.

2016

Judge made his MLB debut on August 13, 2016 against the Tampa Bay Rays , where he hit a home run in his first at-bat . In the same game Tyler Austin succeeded , who also made his MLB debut that day. Also in his second game, Judge hit a home run, becoming the second player in the history of the New York Yankees to do so.

2017

On July 2, 2017, Aaron Judge was voted outfielder in the 2017 MLB All-Star Game with 4,488,702 votes , the highest number of votes for an American League player . He won the 2017 Home Run Derby against Miguel Sanó of the Minnesota Twins , becoming the first player to win the derby in his rookie season.

2018

On April 16, Aaron Judge set a new record for the fastest 60 home runs, which he achieved in 197 games, five fewer than Mark McGwire . Also in 2018 Judge made it back to the All-Star Team of the American League. There he hit a home run in the 2nd inning, making it the youngest Yankees player since Mickey Mantle in 1956. On July 28, Judge was injured in a pitch on a pitch against the Kansas City Royals on the wrist and fell in Train almost two months out.

2019

On April 20, Judge injured himself again, again against the Kansas City Royals, and has been on the Injured Reserve List ever since . Judge returned on June 21 from the Injured Reserve List and played his twentieth game of the season against the Houston Astros .
