The Luckau Evangelical Hospital is a primary care hospital in the Evangelisches Diakonissenhaus Berlin Teltow Lehnin association .

history

In 1902/03 the main building was built according to a design by the Royal Building Inspector von Bandel and furnished with 65 beds. As early as 1914/15 an annex was built in a westerly direction and the bed capacity was expanded to 90 beds. Shortly before the end of World War II , the hospital was used as a prisoner of war hospital by the Russian army. Nevertheless, the operation as a civil hospital could barely be maintained. After a typhus epidemic in 1945, additional buildings were added to care for patients.

In the following decades, an infection station, an X-ray department and the kitchen were built. In 1973 a urological department with 28 beds was set up. Eleven years later, after reconstruction and expansion of the infection ward, the gynecological / obstetric department with 35 beds was handed over. In 1986 an emergency clinic was created in the main building for professional first aid in emergencies.

On May 1, 1993, the hospital was taken over by the Evangelical Deaconess House Berlin-Teltow . After the change of corporate form, the hospital is renamed "Evangelische Krankenhaus Luckau gGmbH ". In 2006/07 a medical center was built on the site with five practices from different disciplines and a medical laboratory.

On October 1, 2009, a cooperation agreement was signed with the Outpatient Center for Lung Diseases and Sleep Medicine Cottbus in the field of sleep medicine and the outpatient center took over the hospital sleep laboratory at the same time. In December 2009 the Evangelical Hospital took over the geriatric care contract . The Geriatric Clinic was opened on September 29, 2011. Three years later the geriatric day clinic with ten beds was added.

The Evangelical Hospital Luckau has been a cooperation partner of the Brandenburg Medical School CAMPUS GmbH since 2015 .
