The Nordakademie-Stiftung (spelling "NORDAKADEMIE-Stiftung") is a non-profit, legal foundation under civil law. It is primarily a science foundation and is based in Elmshorn on the campus of the Nordakademie .

Foundation, funding and purpose

The foundation was launched on September 20, 2017 by the Nordakademie Hochschule der Wirtschaft. The foundation's basic assets as well as the regular donations are also provided by the university. The Nordakademie Foundation is active in the fields of science and research, education, training, art and culture. In particular, in addition to the activities of the Nordakademie, the foundation is intended to provide funding where funding is no longer part of the university's operations in the narrower sense.

Organs of the foundation

The foundation bodies are the board of directors, the foundation council and the joint foundation committee. Georg Plate has been the chairman of the board responsible for operational activities since the company was founded . Daniel Graewe has been another member of the board since 2018 .
