Slobodan Uzelac

Slobodan Uzelac (born August 9, 1947 in Kakma near Biograd ) is a Croatian politician with Serbian roots and a member of the SDSS . Uzelac has been the vice-chairman of the Committee on Social Issues and Human Rights of the Croatian government since 2009 . After the official recognition of Kosovo by the Croatian government on March 19, 2008, he made his mandate available, but Ivo Sanader , the then Prime Minister, did not accept his resignation.

Life

He graduated from the Andrija Štampar Medical Faculty in Zagreb in 1976 and received his PhD from the Belgrade Medical Faculty in 1981. He was a visiting reader at Penn State University in 2001.

Private

He is married and has two children, a daughter and a son. He also speaks English and Russian.
