Slon Island ( English ; Russian Остров Слон Ostrow Slon , German 'elephant island' ) is an irregularly shaped island off the Ingrid Christensen coast of the East Antarctic Princess Elisabeth Land . It belongs to the group of the Rauer Islands and is located 100 m north of Filla Island .

Scientists from a Soviet Antarctic expedition mapped and named it in 1956. The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia translated this name into English in 1991.
