SmarTeam is a PDM / PLM system developed by Dassault Systèmes . It integrates into numerous CAD systems from leading CAD providers such as AutoCAD . Native integrations are available for integration with CATIA and SolidWorks , as these systems are also manufactured by Dassault Systèmes. In addition to classic drawing management and parts list structures, SmarTeam offers comprehensive document management with flexible workflow management. Among other things, there is also an integration for MS Office . In addition, SmarTeam can automate and standardize data exchange with production , sales or service . For this purpose, SmarTeam offers interfaces to ERP systems such as SAP . The user interface was revised with Release 18.
In addition to the SmarTeam Fat Client, there is also a user interface ( thin client ) for SmarTeam that can be used in a browser . This variant is called SmarTeam WebEditor. SmarTeam Navigator only allows read access to the SmarTeam content. WebPDM requires at least one additional web application server.

In conjunction with the 3Dvia Composer software , SmarTeam can cover numerous functions from the field of content management systems .
