Slovenský Grob (German Slovak Eisgrub - older also Böhmisch Eisgrub , Hungarian Tótgurab ) is a municipality in south-western Slovakia .
location
It is located in the Danube lowlands not far from the Little Carpathians , about 6 km south of Pezinok and 15 km northeast of Bratislava . To distinguish it from earlier Croatian-speaking site Chorvátsky Grob (located south) and the earlier German Veľký Grob (located east; to 1948 Nemecký coarse ) of the Town, the suffix "Slovak".
history
The first written mention was made in 1214 as a monar .
In the village there is a church from 1635, which is dedicated to John the Baptist, and two chapels.
