Vištuk (German Wischtu [c] k or Wischteich , Hungarian Kárpáthalas - until 1907 Vistuk ) is a municipality in Bratislavský kraj in western Slovakia .
geography
The place is located in the Danube lowlands by the Vištucký creek and is 8 km from Modra and 20 km from Trnava . There is a small reservoir near the village ( vodná nádrž Vištuk ).
history
The place was mentioned for the first time in 1244 as Vischa and belonged to the estate of Rotenstein Castle .
