The Smith-cliff is a rock cliff in the north of Thurston Island before Eights Coast of the West Antarctic Ellsworthlands . It rises on the icy north coast of the Tinglof Peninsula .

The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 2003 after the aircraft operator William F. Smith, a member of the Eastern Group of Operation Highjump (1946-1947) carried out by the United States Navy for the creation of aerial photographs of Thurston Island and the neighboring mainland coast.
