The Smith Point is a headland on the west coast of Wiencke Island in the West Antarctic Palmer Archipelago . It is located northeast of Besnard Point on the southeast bank of Port Lockroy .
Participants of the Fourth French Antarctic Expedition (1903-1905) under the direction of polar explorer Jean-Baptiste Charcot discovered the headland. Her name first appears on a map based on surveys carried out by scientists from the British Discovery Investigations in 1927. The naming background has not survived.
