Smith Ridge is a 6 km long ridge in the West Antarctic Ellsworthland . In the Heritage Range of the Ellsworth Mountains, it rises 1.5 km west of Frazier Ridge in the Founders Peaks .

The University of Minnesota geological team , who explored the area on an expedition that lasted from 1963 to 1964, named him. It is named after Carl W. Smith, a helicopter engine technician for the 62nd Transportation Detachment of the United States Army in support of the expedition.
