The Snake River is a river in the south of the Australian state of Tasmania .
geography
It rises on the Gallagher Plateau in the northeast part of the Southwest National Park . From there it first flows north to the Snake Mieralized Area . There it turns to the northeast and flows into the Weld River about 6.5 km north of Mount Weld .
